Because we had the option to free-write our blogs this week, I chose to write about a pretty interesting subject… me. So, I hope these 250 words show you a little bit about my busy, busy schedule!
Right now, I have a ton of stuff going on. Of course, we are in the midst of a never-ending pandemic, but life doesn’t slow down. In addition to taking AP Calculus (ew) and AP Statistics, I also am a student at OSTC, studying health sciences. I am not going to lie; school has been kicking my butt this year. It has been super hard to fully absorb material and complete what seems like an endless pile of assignments from the comfort of my bedroom. But I’m sure I’ll get through it eventually.
I also currently have two jobs. Actually, I am sitting at work typing this. I have been a shift manager at Clean Juice for the past year, and it has definitely been fun. In my opinion, in order to have a good job, you have to have funny coworkers. My other job, which I just started recently, is also pretty awesome. Because I completed my first year of medical assisting curriculum last year at OSTC, I am now training on the job at my (now former) pediatrician’s office. I currently take temperatures, do COVID screens at the door, help measure height and weight, and enter data into the EMR (electronic medical records) system. As I gain more training, I will eventually start giving injections and seeing my own patients!
Well, now I’ve told you about my life. I hope you enjoyed! Stay tuned for another post next week :)
